Many people know Omega Speed Master is an astronaut watch, but only a few realize Seiko also plays a role in space time history. History of astronomy has written in 1970 when astronaut worn Seiko Automatic Chronograph cal.6139.

First Seiko space watch is Seiko Automatic Chronograph cal.6139 worn by Colonel Pogue. Although it is not official watch approved by NASA, Colonel Pogue use this watch as his own personal watch along with Speedmaster. 6139 is a basic automatic chronograph with 30 minutes counter and rotating bezel with tachymeter scale.
